Indian Overseas Bank(IOB) is one of the oldest banks in the country.The bank has around 1200 branches & operates 600 ATM across India. IOB has announced the Recruitment of Managers (IT) for its Information Technology dept. located at Chennai.

Position – Vacancies – Payscale :

Manager (IT) – 25 posts – Rs.13820-19920

Dates : Online registration starts from 03.02.2010 (Feb 3rd,2010)

Online registration closes on 02.03.2010 (March 2nd)

Last date for receipt of online application printout – 10.03.2010

Eligibility : Candidates interested to apply for Indian overseas bank recruitment ,

* Should be within 21 & 30 yrs of age as on 1.1.2010

* Must have completed BE / B.tech (CS/ IT/ ECE/ CT/ TE) / MCA in Ist class with 60% marks (distance/correspondence candidates not eligible) as on 01.01.2010

* candidates should attach proof of qualifications along with application.

Selection : The eligible candidates would be called by IOB for Group Discussion or/and Interview, based on which the final selection would be made.The personal Interview will be for 50 marks & minimum qualifying marks is 25.Candidates would be ranked according o their marks & selected in the higher order.

Application : Candidates have to pay Rs.400 (Gen/OBC) as application fees by DD favoring ‘Indian Overseas Bank Recruitment Project – 2010’, payable at Chennai (No fees for SC/ST candidates). State Bank of India - 4500 PO Recruitment Starts  

State Bank of India back with yet another huge recruitment of 4500 Probationary Officers.As part of the aggressive expansion plans, SBI is to open around 1000 new branches in the next 2 years.Inorder to fill these vacancies ,State Bank of India has come up with this job notification.

Post - Vacancies - Payscale:
1) Probationary Officers - 2500 posts - Rs.10,000 - Rs.18,240
2) Probationary Officers (Rural Business) - 2000 posts - Rs.10,000 - Rs.18,240

* candidates can apply for both posts & application fees can be paid once.


Dates : Fee payment - from 01.02.2010 to 28.02.2010
Online registration starts - February 1st 2010
Last date for Online registration - March 2nd 2010
* The written exam for this SBI recruitment has been postponed to April 18th 2010

Eligibility : Candidates interested to apply for State Bank of India PO exam ,

* Age limit : 21 - 30 yrs as on 28.02.2010 (relaxation applies)

* Should have scored minimum 55% in Graduation AND 60% in 12th Std (Or in Diploma after 10th)

* CA/ CWA/ CFA/ CS candidates must have passed in these exams & should have 60% in 12th std

Note: Candidates who have appeared previously for SBI PO exam on 4 occasions (General) OR 7 occasions(OBC) are not eligible to apply. There is no limit for SC/ST candidates.Read more about this number of attempts in SBI exam.

Selection :SBI will have a common written test for both positions & would have Objective & Descriptive test as a combined paper for 3 Hrs. Objective section will be for 200 marks (2 Hrs) & has the following sections ,

i) Test of English Language

ii) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
iii) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
iv) Test of Reasoning

* The pass mark will be decided by bank,but candidates should score minimum 40% marks in both test for merit list entry.

Application : The application fees of Rs.500(Gen/OBC) or Rs.50(SC/ST) has to be paid at any State bank of India branch ,using the challan from the website between 01.02.2010 & 28.02.2010 .After this, candidates have to apply online through the website of State Bank of India only & provide necessary details, along with payment info for registration of online application.If you are applying for both posts,pay fees only once.

Agricultural Officers : Public sector banks lend loans to farmers for agri purposes & agricultural officers are recruited to assess,verify & provide better support for people in rural areas involved in farming activities.Although the openings are limited ,candidates with qualification in Agriculture/ Veterinary Science/Horticulture & other subjects related to agriculture are preferred.
