State Bank of India is one of the largest banks in India & recruitments by SBI often creates a buzz among candidates aspiring for bank jobs.We received many questions asking if they can apply for both vacancies in SBI (1717 & 4500 Probationary Officers).Here is a quick glance of both notifications,so you can understand better.

1717 SBI Associate Banks PO Recruitment – This recruitment for 1717 Probationary Officers vacancies were only for Associate Banks of SBI.(last date to apply is over)The 6 associate banks are

1) State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ), 2) State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH),

3) State Bank of Indore (SBIND), 4) State Bank of Mysore (SBM),

5) State Bank of Patiala (SBP), 6) State Bank of Travancore (SBT) .

* Selected candidates through the recruitment exam will be posted in any of these banks only, according the preference given during registration & NOT in SBI.

SBI Recruitment for 4500 PO – This is the latest advertisement for recruitment into State Bank of India & the last date to apply online is March 2nd. Both these recruitments are different from each other. Now,coming to the questions asked by our readers – posted at www.bankexamsindia.com

Q: I have already applied to SBI 1717 PO vacancies.Can I apply to this 4500 PO also?

A: Yes, If you are eligible & have the qualifications mentioned for the 4500 Officers SBI recruitment – you can apply. Both are different recruitments.

Q: Number of attempts has been given for both SBI jobs.What are they?

A: Yes. SBI has limited the number of attempt by a candidates appearing in their PO exams. According to their notification ,

** for SBI 4500 PO vacancies , ‘General category candidates who have appeared on 4 occasions in the recruitment exam of POs for SBI are not eligible to apply’. For Gen(PWD – 4 chances), OBC & OBC (PWD) (7 chances) candidates, chances are likely to counted from the current exam.
