Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) invites Application for the 14079 Post of Assistant Loco Pilot

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot. This will be a heavy recruitment initiative from RRBs perspective. Details are given as under:

Assistant Loco Pilot: Total Post 14079 (SC - 2291, ST - 1196, OBC - 3508, GEN - 7084) out of which EXSM - 1276. PWD (VH/HH/OH) need not to apply. Scale of Pay as per 6th pay commission: Rs. 5200 - 20200; Grade pay - Rs. 1900.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• AGE (as on 01.07.2010): 18 to 30 years (relation as per rules)

• EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Matriculation OR its equivalent under 10+2 system and Course Competed Act. Apprentice OR I.T.I. in any of the following specific trades recognised by SCVT/NCVT:

1. Fitter 2. Electrician 3. Instrument Mechanic 4. Mill Wright/ Maintenance Mechanic 5. Mechanic Radio & TV 6. Electronics Mechanic 7. Mechanic Motor Vehicle 8. Wireman 9. Tractor Mechanic 10. Armature & Coil Winder 11. Mechanic Diesel 12. Heat Engine 13. Turner 14. Machinist 15. Refrigeration & AC Mechanic
OR
Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering recognised by AICTE in lieu of ITI.

Candidates having higher Educational Qualification in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering recognised by AICTE are also eligible.

APPLICATION FEE: Rs. 40/- (NIL for Women candidates/ Minority Candidates/ Economically Backward class having annual family income less than Rs. 50,000/-)
MEDICAL STANDARD: A-1; it is level of Medical Standards which the candidate will have to qualify before appointment in Railways.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: 1. Written Examination 2. Aptitude Test 3. Documents & Candidature Verification.

Note:
1. Written Examination will be held on same day by all participating Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs).
2. Total 18 Railway Recruitment Board are participating for Recruitment Process.
3. The eligible candidate who have already applied in earlier notifications but examination not held need not to apply again for same RRB.
4. Ineligible candidate whose application has been rejected on earlier notifications may apply a fresh.
5. Any candidate who have applied earlier for a particular RRB and want to apply for other RRB now, he/she can do so against this new notification. In that case, he will be eligible to give examination of any one RRB because candidate can not give both RRB examination as examination date will be same.
Example: Ram has applied for Kolkata in earlier notification but now he wants to apply for Mumbai he can do so by applying a fresh. But he can not give examination of both RRB. He have to give exam of any one RRB as examination date will be same.
6. Those candidates waiting for results of the final examinations need not to apply.
7. Female candidates ensure before applying that duties which are arduous in nature and will have to work in shifts at odd hours.
8. RRBs have given choice of regional language, candidates have to choose any one of the regional language at the time of applying.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
1. Click the link given below for downloading the Application Format. Fill the Application Format properly as per instructions.
2. Get a DD/ Payorder issued by bank for the fee amount. Ensure a particular RRB first for which you have to apply and then look for the detailed information for finding out the name in whose favour DD to be drawn.
3. Application complected in all respect and with required documents (list given in detailed information file, link provided below) and with DD for application fee (if applicable) to be sent to the concerned RRB office. For finding out the address of particular RRB look for the detailed information file. (Link given below for the detailed information file and application format)
4. The envelope containing application and other documents should be clearly superscribed
"APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT LOCO PILOT CATEGORY NO. 01 CENTRALISED EMPLOYMENT NOTICE NO. 01/2010 & COMMUNITY (SC/ST/OBC/EX-SM)".

LAST DATE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION IS 02nd March 2010 (17.30 hrs). 17th March 2010 for candidates from far-flung areas.
