Applications are invited for the post of Constables in UP Police :

• Constable : 35000 posts (17500 Unreserved, 9450 for OBC, 7350 for SC Candidates, 700 for ST candidates)
  
• Pay Scale : Rs. PB-1, Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.1900
  
• Age : 18-22 years as on 01/01/2009 (born between 02/01/1987 and 01/01/1991)
• Eligibility : I)12th pass or equivalent II) 2 years experience in Pradeshik Seva (III) NCC B certificate (IV) Certificate in Computer Application.
• Minimum Physical Standard For Male - Height - 168 cm (160 cm for ST) and Chest - 84 cm (82 cm for ST). Minimum 5 cm expansion is required in chest for all candidates. No weight standard is given for males.
  
• Minimum Physical Standard For Female - weight - 45-58 kg, Height -147 cm for ST, 152 cm for all others, No breast standard is given for females.
  
• Run: 10 km run in 60 minutes (5 km in 35 minuets for females) is required.

Relaxation in age as per rules.

Written Test : The format of objective type question paper will be as under:

I) General Knowledge : 50 Marks
II) Numerical & Mental Ability : 50 Marks
III) Test of Reasoning : 50 Marks
IV) Abhiruchi Test : 50 Marks

Total 200 Marks in 2 Hours.
33 % in individual is required and 35 % in total is necessary.

Selection by Written Test, Physical test and interview.

Application Form : Prescribed OMR application forms and details can be purchased from all Main/ Head Post Offices in all the districts (total 131 ) of UP from 10/07/2009 till last date i.e. 10/08/2009 on payment of Rs.50/-

How to Apply : Application forms complete in all respect should be submitted in the same post offices from where the form was purchased till 5.00 pm 10/08/2009.
